CSSM works on the following onsite longitudinal grazingland surveys: USDA-NRCS rangeland surveys, USDA-NRCS pastureland surveys, DOI-BLM rangeland surveys. These surveys assess national and regional rangeland and pastureland health to facilitate the establishment of grazing guidelines and conservation goals as well as the allocation of resources. CSSM also contributes to the grazingland component of the USDA Conservation Effects Assessment Project (CEAP).
CSSM is involved in frame specification, sample selection including geographic sampling, software and operational support of data collection, data collection training, data processing and management, statistical weighting and estimation.
